Theosophy
isn’t a Religion,
so
what is it then?
Theosophy is a very old word
meaning Divine wisdom but Theosophy as H P Blavatsky promoted it is a set of
hypotheses and esoteric ideas based on eastern traditions to explain the scheme
of existence of the universe and man’s place within that scheme.
Theosophy has no creed or
dogma and presents everything as “ideas for consideration” and therefore is not
a religion. Everything in Theosophy is negotiable and that includes the
writings of H P Blavatsky
